The new world of energy Digital disruptors will seize a fifth of the world’s retail energy market by 2020, tripling the profitability gap between thrivers and survivors – that’s the prediction from IDC. To become the energy company of the future, energy providers must increase their pace of adaptation, finding a new role in an ecosystem undergoing fundamental changes. They must embrace a number of simultaneous changes in technology, such as in their usage of data, in order to remain competitive. We will explore ways to do just that in this paper.
