Why has remote UX testing become increasingly popular over the years?
The COVID-19 crisis led many companies to take a second look at their processes and work habits. As a result, many product and UX teams moved to a fully remote setup, accelerating the adoption of remote usability testing across the globe.
However, this shift to remote activities is not new: emerging technologies have affected the way we work, enabling companies to shift many of their activities to a remote-based model in the past couple years. Testing projects are no exception — many UX and testing teams are now operating (at least partially) remotely. Whether for moderated or unmoderated testing, a multitude of tools are available to them.
