RELATIVELY CONSERVATIVE JAPANESE COMPANIES WERE NOT VERY WILLING TO RUN THEIR CORE SYSTEMS ON HCI. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE DATABASE OF THE CORE SYSTEM HAS VARIOUS PROBLEMS SUCH AS INCREASED OPERATIONAL LOAD. WE WOULD LIKE TO UTILIZE THE CLOUD TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM, BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO MAKE IT A PUBLIC CLOUD IN ONE LEAP FORWARD. THIS IS BECAUSE PUBLIC CLOUDIFICATION REQUIRES A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AND EFFORT IN MODIFYING AND TESTING EXISTING APPLICATIONS. IN ADDITION, DUE TO INDUSTRY REGULATIONS AND CORPORATE COMPLIANCE RULES, SOME DATABASE SYSTEMS CANNOT BE CONVERTED TO PUBLIC CLOUDS.
So, first, we consolidated the troublesome database running on a separate server to Nutanix. This reduces the burden of infrastructure management. And in the next step, we will sequentially shift from those that are easy to migrate to the cloud. In this way, the approach of operating the database in the right place with the hybrid cloud type is also increasing.
IN THIS ARTICLE, WE WILL INTRODUCE VARIOUS ISSUES RELATED TO DATABASE OPERATION FACED BY IT DEPARTMENTS WITH LABOR SHORTAGES AND HOW TO SOLVE OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS BY RESPONDING TO A WIDE RANGE OF DATABASE ENGINES.
