Microservices and Containerization

From May–June 2022, DZone surveyed software developers, architects, and other IT professionals in order to understand how microservices are being developed and deployed.  

Major research targets were:

• Expected vs. actual benefits and pains of adopting microservices
• Effect of microservices on various software engineering desiderata
• Relation of microservices implementation experience to general software design principles
